The Municipal Chief Executive (M.C.E) for the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipal Assembly, Honourable Benjamin Kessie together with the Presiding Member for the Assembly Honourable Emmanuel Gado and the Municipal Director of Education Mr. Kwaku Duah, paid a working visit to some selected BECE Examination Centres across the Municipality, to interact with candidates and also to wish them well ahead of their BECE Examination on the 15th of November, 2021.
At the Fiaseman Senior High School Examination Centre, the M.C.E. encouraged the BECE Candidates to relax and not panic about the exam. He further advised the candidates to be disciplined, avoid any form of examination malpractices and exhibit good conduct throughout the examination period. He added that, any form of malpractice could affect the reputation of the Municipality hence the need for the candidates to desist from such acts.
The M.C.E. urged the candidates to seize the opportunity, learn hard and pass well in order for them to enjoy the Free Senior High School initiative by the Government of Ghana, so that they can have a better future.
Honorable Benjamin Kessie later continued his visit to other selected BECE Examination Centres across the Municipality namely; Tarkwa Senior High School, Roman Catholic School, New Atuabo Community Basic School and Dadwen School Complex Examination Centres.
According to the Municipal Director of Education Mr. Kwaku Duah, the total number of candidates who registered for this year’s BECE in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality were 4,096; made up of 2,027 males (49%) and 2,069 females (51%).
The total number of candidates from the Public Schools were 2,823 while private schools were 1,273.
