ENTREPRENEURSHIP TRAINING IN THE MUNICIPALITY

On Monday, 8th May 2023, Hon. Benjamin Kessie, the Municipal Chief Executive for Tarkwa-Nsuaem joined the Ghana Jobs and Skills Project (a project under the Youstart flagship programme of the Government of Ghana) in their entrepreneurship training for some youths in the Municipality.
The programme is considered as one of the main forms of support for the government’s top priority agenda of upgrading skills among the country’s population, creating more quality jobs, and improving job outcomes for the youths.
The two-week training program at the School of Petroleum, UMaT, is expected to benefit 100 participants.
Advising the beneficiaries, Hon. Kessie emphasized that they must be able to create their own businesses and succeed for others to benefit.
“Both the public and private sector is choked and there is no vacancy, to contain the numbers so the way forward is you must create your business for people to apply to work in your company. This initiative by the government is for your own good, you should find a way to make the investment profitable”, said the MCE.
