The Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal Assembly unveiled a brand new refuse truck on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at the Assembly’s forecourt in Ahwetieso.

The truck was presented to the Assembly by Zoomlion Ghana Limited in conjunction with the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development for the purposes of providing better sanitation and waste management in the municipality.

Addressing the media, Mr. Alex Damptey, the Municipal Environmental Officer, said the “multi-purpose” truck will serve as additional logistical support for improving waste management services across the various communities in the municipality.

He pledged the Assembly’s commitment to ensuring timely and proper maintenance of the truck.
