PUBLIC EDUCATION ON ON FLOOD RELATED ISSUES FOR COPORATE INSTITUTIONS

On 7th January, the Municipal Director of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), together with the Operations Team and selected office staff, embarked on an outreach exercise to educate corporate institutions on flood-related risks and preventive measures.

The team first visited Komatsu Ltd., where staff were sensitized on the causes of flooding, safety precautions, and the importance of preparedness in reducing the impact of flood disasters, particularly during periods of heavy rainfall.

On the same day, the team also paid a similar visit to ZEN OIL Company located at Akyepim. During the engagement, NADMO officials educated management and staff on flood prevention strategies, risk awareness, and emergency response measures to safeguard lives and property.

Both companies expressed appreciation for the initiative, noting that the sensitization had enhanced their understanding of flood preparedness and safety practices.
