The Municipal Education Directorate has held its termly meeting with headteachers of public basic schools in the municipality to outline key activities and programmes for the academic term.
The meeting, held on 7th January 2026 at the Teachers’ Resource Centre, is a routine exercise undertaken at the beginning of every term to ensure effective coordination and implementation of educational policies and programmes.

The Municipal Director outlined the Directorate’s planned activities for the term, highlighting priorities and expectations for improved teaching and learning outcomes across all public basic schools.
Heads of Departments also took turns to brief the headteachers on programmes and interventions scheduled for their respective units during the term.
The headteachers were encouraged to ensure effective supervision at their schools and to support the Directorate in achieving its goals for the term.
