In Ghana including the Tarkwa-Nsuaem municipality on 9th April, 2025 to undertake an experiential research study. The purpose of this study is to investigate the contribution of existing SMART governance policies and initiatives to promoting sustainable development.
The delegation engaged with staff of the Municipal Assembly, led by the Municipal Coordinating Director, Alhaji Ahmed Boffour Haruna and the Municipal Planning Officer, Mrs. Amanda P Adjei. The team’s objective was to seek some insight on some of the best techniques for delivery of good governance. After a brief by the Assistant Development Officer, Mr. Aaron Ato Eshun, questions were asked by the delegation for further clarifications.
After the meeting with the Assembly, the delegation also visited the Mining Companies within the Municipality to evaluate the implementation of the code of conduct in such institutions.
