The Department with funding from the Municipal Assembly carried out patching of potholes at selected areas in Tarkwa. In addition, the DUR regional office awarded contract to M/s Emelfa Ltd. under the Ghana Road Fund to carry out pothole patching in Tarkwa Township. Work commenced in the last quarter of the year and is still ongoing. Roads covered under the patching works included Tamso Estate Road, New Government Hospital Road, Cyanide – New Atuabo Road, Bank Road and Old Hospital (Apinto Hospital) Road.
