The Tarkwa NsuaRm Municipal Assembly organized a two-day orientation programme for newly elected appointed Hon Assembly members on June 5-6 2024.
The programmed aimed to educate and introduce participants to the local Government system, Focusing on their rules, responsibilities and functions. Key Topics Covered Includes.
- Role of Assembly members in sub-committees participants were briefed on their assigned duties, the committee system, and the role of the presiding member.
- Role of Assembly members in development planning participants learned about legislative provisions, Medium Term Development Plan (MTDP), and their role in project monitoring.
- Participant were educated on revenue sources, Internally Generated Funds (IGF) and payment systems.
