NATIONAL SANITATION DAY EXERCISE – MARCH 2026

As part of efforts to promote environmental cleanliness and public health, the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipal Assembly (TNMA) actively participated in the National Sanitation Day clean-up exercise held on 14th March 2026. The exercise aimed to encourage proper waste management practices and foster community involvement in maintaining a clean and healthy environment.

On the same day, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon Ebenezer Cobinah granted an interview to address public concerns regarding the rescheduling of the exercise. He explained that the clean-up, which was initially scheduled for 7th March, was postponed to 14th March to accommodate activities marking the Independence Day holiday.

Touching on the issue of the dumping site at Aboso, the MCE disclosed that the Assembly has acquired a new parcel of land at Dopim to serve as an alternative refuse disposal site. He noted, however, that operations at the new site are yet to commence, as the Assembly is awaiting the release of funds from the central government.
