As part of his familiarization tour and efforts to promote strong partnerships for local development, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Ebenezer Cobbina, paid courtesy visits to both the Wassa Fiase Traditional Council and the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) on Wednesday 14th May 2025.
At the Wassa Fiase Traditional Council, the MCE was warmly received by the Chiefs and elders. Discussions focused on enhancing collaboration between the Municipal Assembly and traditional leadership to promote unity, cultural preservation, and sustainable development within the Municipality. The visit underscored the MCE’s commitment to inclusive governance and community engagement.
Hon. Cobbina, who is also a former staff member of UMaT, later visited the University’s Management. The meeting was characterized by cordial exchanges and mutual appreciation. The Vice Chancellor congratulated the MCE on his new appointment and expressed confidence in the potential for fruitful collaboration between the University and the Assembly, particularly in advancing educational and infrastructural development in the area.
These engagements indicate the MCE’s proactive approach in building strong institutional relationships to drive the Municipality’s growth agenda.
