The 2022/203 BetPawa Ghana Premier League champions, Medeama Sporting Club presented their trophy to the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal Assembly on Friday 16th June 2023.
Mr. Boffour Haruna, the Municipal Coordinating Director for the Municipal Assembly advised the team to be more disciplined and go into the CAF Champions League with their best performances and “possibly bring the trophy to the Municipality”.
Hon. Benjamin Kessie also congratulated them and entreated them to excel in the champions league competition, adding that the team Medeama has a good record as far as the competition is concerned.
He further pledged an amount of GH¢ 10,000.00 by the Assembly in support of the team.
Management on behalf of the team thanked the assembly for their immense support throughout the season.
Medeama SC is the first team in the Western region to have won a GPL trophy since the year 1977.
