Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal Assembly on Tuesday 17th October 2023 received the first batch of farm tools from the Minerals Development Fund (MDF).
The tools were 15 boxes of cutlasses, a box of Wallington boots, and a box of gloves for farmers in the various communities within the Municipality.
Minerals Development Fund has been collaborating with the Municipal Assembly in supplying oil palm seedlings to farmers since 2015, but per the requests from the farmers, MDF provided them with the tools this year.
Hon. Benjamin Kessie (Municipal Chief Executive), Mr. Ahmed Boffour Haruna (Municipal Coordinating Director), Nana Banyin Acquah Thompson (Municipal Agric Director), and Hon. Emmanuel Gado, (Presiding Member) received the items on behalf of the farmers at the forecourt of the Assembly at Ahwetieso.

Handing over the items, Alhaji Adam Abdul Manan, Scheme Coordinator for MDF talked about the distribution process.
They further pledged to donate the next batch of the items soon.
