The enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Directorate of the Internal Audit Agency responded to a request from the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipal Assembly (TNMA) to train and build their capacity of staff in Enterprise Risk Management.
The training formed part of the IAA’s support to covered entities on internal controls. It was a 5-day training programme and was held at the assembly’s conference room 16th – 20th October 2023. The training was held for management and staff of the Assembly.
The purpose of the training was to strengthen institutional awareness and support for ERM and equip participants with the basic concepts and expertise to enable them to contribute to effective risk management in the assembly.
The objectives of the training were:
- To prepare and guide participants to acquire basic knowledge in risk management.
- To explore ways to effectively implement and support a risk management program in the assembly.
- To equip management with the risk management tools necessary to strategic decision-making.
Facilitators:
Messrs. Senanu Mensah and Quatada Nashiru Mohammed of IAA facilitated the training with the support of Mr Robert Logosu also a staff of the agency.
