On November 26, 2024, the Environmental Health and Sanitation Unit performed an evacuation exercise to clear refuse from a communal container site in Nana Konnie. The exercise used a pay-loader and three tipper trucks to deliver 250 tons of waste to Aboso. The distance from the final disposal site posed a challenge, and solutions included a proper trash management plan, strong garbage vehicles, consistent container lifting, and errand pick-up. Despite this, the site was successfully disinfected, resulting in a clean and hygienic environment.
