DRIP EARTH MOVING MACHINES COMMISSIONED AT NYANSO

The Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal Assembly commissioned its share of earth-moving machines under the District Roads Improvement Program (DRIP) at Nyanso on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. The ceremony was attended by Heads of Departments (HODs), Alhaji Boffour Ahmed Haruna (Coordinating Director), Hon. Joseph Kwofie (Presiding Member), Hon. Benjamin Kessie (Municipal Chief Executive), Hon. George Mireku Duker (Member of Parliament for Tarkwa-Nsuaem and Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources), traditional leaders, and other stakeholders. This event marks a significant milestone in enhancing road infrastructure and boosting economic development in the municipality.

DRIP is a flagship initiative of the Government of Ghana, spearheaded by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, aimed at empowering Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) with the resources and equipment necessary to rehabilitate and maintain roads within their respective jurisdictions. Launched in Accra in July 2024, DRIP is expected to have a positive impact on the country’s road network.
