TARKWA-NSUAEM MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY HOLDS TOWN HALL MEETING

The Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal Assembly on Tuesday, 21st April 2026, held a Town Hall Meeting at the Municipal Assembly Hall in Ahwetieso to promote participatory governance and stakeholder engagement.

The meeting brought together traditional authorities, media, heads of departments, youth groups, schools, and other stakeholders, alongside key officials of the Assembly, representatives from the Western Regional Coordinating Council (WRCC), and Friends of the Nation.

The forum provided an opportunity for the Assembly to present its 2025 performance, outline ongoing and planned activities for 2026, and engage stakeholders on development priorities.

In his address, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Ebenezzer Cobbinah welcomed participants and emphasized that the meeting aimed to gather stakeholder input, review development decisions, and prioritize key areas for growth.

A representative from Friends of the Nation highlighted the importance of the platform in promoting accountability and enabling stakeholders to express their concerns and community needs, while reaffirming the organization’s continued support to the Assembly.

Ms. Estherine Mensah of the WRCC conveyed greetings from the Regional Minister and encouraged participants to be precise and constructive in their contributions, urging active involvement in decision-making processes.

Stakeholders actively participated in discussions, raising concerns and proposing solutions to improve infrastructure, education, sanitation, and youth development. The Assembly expressed appreciation for the engagement and reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive development.
