TARKWA-NSUAEM MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY SHINES AT REGIONAL BUDGET HEARING

The Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal Assembly, TNMA, excelled at the 2024 Regional Budget Hearing held at the Assembly’s Conference Hall, showcasing its financial management and development plans.

The event, as part of the Public Financial Management Regulations, featured key stakeholders, including the Regional Coordinating Council and National Technical Team, who assessed the Assembly’s fiscal performance and future targets.

TNMA’s delegation, led by the Municipal Coordinating Director, Alhaji Boffour Ahmed Haruna, Hon. Presiding Member Joseph Kwofie, and Municipal Budget Analyst Mr. Bright Ohene Appiah, presented a comprehensive draft budget. Mr. Appiah highlighted the Municipality’s achievements in agriculture, infrastructure, and roads, alongside detailed financial data on revenue and expenditure.

Looking ahead, Mr. Ohene outlined the Assembly’s policy objectives for 2025, emphasizing initiatives in education, health, water and sanitation, and other developmental projects. The Regional Technical Team, headed by Mr. Frederick Agyemang, applauded TNMA for its performance and adherence to the hearing guidelines, commending it as the best performing Assembly among four other Assemblies.

This impressive presentation underscores TNMA’s commitment to effective governance and sustainable development in the region.
