Ghana Employment and Social Protection under the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection on Tuesday 2nd August 2022 presented items to 16 beneficiaries from Tarkwa-Nsuaem who have completed their training and are yet to set up their businesses.
The items they received included Poultry feed, Water Tank, Electronic Sewing Machine with table, Dump Truck Logistics (helmet, protective wear, etc) Solar Gadgets with other accessories, etc.
The gesture is a European Union (EU) Funded project in partnership with the Government of Ghana.
The presentation was made by Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Benjamin Kessie, Municipal Coordinating Director, Frank Ernest Oduro at the Assembly Block at Ahwetieso
The training offered are electronics, poultry farming, graphic, and web design, cosmetology, dump truck operating, dressmaking, and tailoring.
Briefing the media, Mr. Piesie Anto Agyapong, Head of Social Welfare, said four beneficiaries out of the sixteen are Persons With Disability (PWD) with ages ranging from 18-35 years.
Hon. Benjamin Kessie congratulated the beneficiaries and advised them to use the items for commercial purposes.
