NADMO PROMOTES SAFETY AWARENESS AT BRAHABOOME COOPERATIVE MINING SITE

On 12th January, the Operations and Technical Teams of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) undertook an educational visit to the cooperative mining site at Brahaboome to promote safety and disaster preparedness.

The engagement focused on sensitizing workers and management on the importance of a newly constructed clinic at the site, which was initiated by NADMO’s Operations Team to enhance emergency response and safeguard lives. Officials explained how the facility will support prompt medical attention during accidents, improve health and safety standards, and strengthen overall disaster preparedness within the mining environment.

The team also highlighted practical safety measures, emergency response procedures, and the need for workers to make effective use of the clinic to ensure timely care in the event of injuries or related emergencies.

Management and workers at the mining site expressed appreciation to NADMO for the initiative, noting that the establishment of the clinic and the accompanying education will significantly improve safety and preparedness at the site.
