Hon. Benjamin Kessie, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal Assembly in the Western Region has presented 180 pieces of metal dual desks to the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES) to be distributed to schools.
The desks were funded by the Ministry of Finance through the efforts of the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Constituency, Hon George Mireku Duker.
In his delivery, the Hon. MCE indicated that education was one of the top most priorities of the Government of Ghana, the Hon. MP as well as the Assembly. He further stated that more Educational Infrastructure are vigorously being pursued across the Municipality to provide decent teaching and learning conditions for the ever growing pupils/student population.
Mr. Alex Kwaku Duah, the Municipal Education Director who received the presentation on behalf of the Directorate, expressed gratitude to the government and the Hon. MCE for the kind gesture. He assured them that his outfit will ensure they are distributed to the beneficiary schools to be used for the intended purposes.
