On 23rd and 24th January 2026, Mr. Donald Doe, Zonal Co-ordinator at Esaman-Kakraba, together with the Operations Team from Joko Stores (Tarkwa Station), conducted a series of inspection and monitoring exercises across several communities. The purpose of the exercise was to promote public safety, structural integrity, and environmental sanitation.
Esaman-Kakraba
During the inspection, a building with a significant structural crack was identified. The damage poses a serious threat to lives and property if urgent action is not taken. The team assessed the situation and advised appropriate measures to prevent possible structural failure.

On a follow-up visit on 24th January 2026, it was also observed that some residents were disposing of waste directly into nearby drainage systems. This improper waste disposal has led to blocked drains and flooding within the community. Residents were educated on the importance of proper sanitation practices to help prevent recurring flooding situations.
Nzema Line – Old Town
The team assessed a severely dilapidated and cracked building that presents a danger to occupants and the surrounding community. After thorough monitoring, the Operations Team strongly recommended that the structure be pulled down and rebuilt to ensure safety. Community members were educated on the risks associated with occupying unsafe buildings.
