Intertek Minerals, a Mining Support Service Company in Tarkwa, has donated Nine (9) boxes of alcohol-based hand sanitizers to the COVID-19 Steering Committee of the Tarkwa-Nsueam Municipal Assembly. This is to augment the efforts of the Municipal Assembly towards the fight against the pandemic. The donation was made at a short ceremony at the premises of the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal Assembly on Friday, 24th April 2020. Receiving the items, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Gilbert K. Asmah expressed his appreciation to the company for the kind gesture. He assured them that the items will be put into good use to safeguard the inhabitants of the municipality against the deadly virus. Speaking on behalf of Intertek Minerals, the Business Development Manager, Mr. Clement Foli assured the Assembly of its support towards the fight against the pandemic. He also stated that, similar donations have been made directly to some communities and identified hotspots within the municipality. The Hon. Municipal Chief Executive took the opportunity to throw more light on the measures put in place by the Assembly towards the fight against the pandemic. He also called on other companies within the Municipality to emulate the kind gesture of Intertek Minerals within their operational areas and beyond. Present at the short ceremony were Pln. J.A Mahama (Assistant Municipal Development Planning Officer) and officials from Intertek minerals – Mr. Bennet Mintah and Miss Sheena Cash-Abbey. |
