On Saturday, 22nd April 2023, Hon. Benjamin Kessie, Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal Chief Executive joined Muslim brothers and sisters in the municipality to celebrate Eid al-Fitr at the Anglican School Park, behind their central mosque.
In his message, he admonished Ghanaians to live in unity and harmony as the country can only achieve its aim of becoming great and strong through unity.
“I bring you warm greetings from the government, as we know, Allah has accepted our prayers and sacrifices, let’s continue to live together as one nation, one region, and one Tarkwa-Nsuaem. We should not be divided because of politics and tribe, let’s live together as one big family to achieve a better Ghana”. Hon. Kessie added.
Muslims across the globe marked their Eid al-Fitr today( Saturday, 22nd April, 2023).
Eid al-Fitr is the festival of breaking the fast and marking the end of a month-long Ramadan fast.
