It was an ecstatic morning on Tuesday, 11th May, 2017 when the president appointee Mr. Gilbert Kennedy Asmah was confirmed by the house as the Municipal Chief Executive for Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipal Assembly.
As mandated by the Local Government Law (Act 936), 2/3 members of the Assembly was present to vote on that day. After a successful voting process by the Electoral Commission under the Supervision of the Regional Electoral Commissioner Mr. Stephen Opoku Mensah, 35members out of the 40 present voted for Mr. Gilbert Kennedy Asmah whilst 5 voted against him. This represent 85.5% acceptance into office.
Base on that, the Electoral Commissioner declared Mr. Gilbert Kennedy Asmah was confirmed as the Municipal Chief Executive for the Municipality.
It was a day of joy and happiness for the Hon. Municipal Chief Executive and his followers as he was sworn into office.
