Hon. Benjamin Kessie, Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal Chief Executive has commissioned a new lorry station at the Tarkwa Main Station on Friday, 21st April 2023.

The project was initiated and funded by the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) of TUC Ghana Tarkwa Main branch.

According to the secretary of the union Mr. Julius Awartey, the place was congested and needed to be renovated so they informed the Hon. MCE who gave them the nod to renovate it. “With his support, we were able to finish in a space of three months”.

In a Speech delivered by the MCE, Hon. Benjamin Kessie commended the union for upgrading the place and urged other transport unions to also do the same as the assembly is ready to support them.

He then cautioned drivers and other users of the place to ensure proper management.

The station loads passengers to Agona, Simpa, DompIm, Essaman, Nzema Ayinase , etc.
