COMMISIONING AND HANDING OVER OF 6-UNIT CLASSROOM BLOCK AT DOMPIM, COMMUNITY CENTER AT ZONGO, AND A MECHANIZED BOREHOLE AT KADADWEN

The Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal Assembly has commissioned a 6-unit classroom block, a community center, and a mechanized borehole, marking a significant milestone in the municipality’s development journey. The projects were commissioned by Member of Parliament, Hon. Issah Salifu Taylor, and Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Ebenezer Cobbinah, on Thursday, September 11, 2025.

The 6-unit classroom block was handed over to the students and staff of Dompim Nana Boadi Basic School, while the community center was commissioned for the people of Railway Quarters in the Zongo electoral area. The mechanized borehole was also commissioned for the people of Kadadwen.

Addressing separate ceremonies to commission the projects, the Member of Parliament, Hon. Issah Salifu Taylor, appreciated the effort of Hon. George Mireku Duker (former MP) and Hon. Benjamin Kessie (former MCE) for starting such projects and highlighted the government’s commitment to completing unfinished projects. He also used the opportunity to urge the traditional leaders and the good people of Tarkwa–Nsuaem to be united and avoid partisan politics emphasizing the government’s focu

s on development. The Member of Parliament also promised to donate 100 plastic chairs to the good people of Railway Quarters–Zongo electoral area to be used in their new community center.

Hon. Ebenezer Cobbinah, the Municipal Chief Executive, noted that the completion of these projects within a record time demonstrates the assembly’s commitment to development. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the facilities and strengthening moral values among pupils. He also highlighted the assembly’s responsibility to prioritize developmental projects, including roads, sanitation, health, and provide a comfortable teaching and learning environment for students and teachers.

The Municipal Education Director, Madam Cathrine Andoh Mensah Biney, Nananom, and Hon. Assembly Members expressed their gratitude to the Member of Parliament, the Municipal Chief Executive, and government for their dedication to development. They also used the opportunity to make requests for other needs of their community.
