MCE VISITS WASSCE CENTERS, URGES CANDIDATES TO EXCEL

As the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) kicked off nationwide on Monday, September 15, 2025, Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Ebenezer Cobbinah, paid a working visit to several examination centers within the municipality. The centers visited included Tarkwa Senior High School (Tarsco) and Fiasemen Senior High School.

Accompanied by the Municipal Education Director, Mrs. Cathrine Andoh Mensah Biney, and other government officials, the MCE interacted with candidates, offering words of encouragement and advising them to remain calm, confident, and focused. He emphasized the importance of the WASSCE as a crucial stepping stone into universities and urged candidates to resist examination malpractices.

The MCE also took the opportunity to highlight the government’s policy on free tuition for first-year students in public tertiary institutions, encouraging candidates to take advantage of this opportunity to pursue higher education. 

The Municipal Education Director, Mrs. Cathrine Andoh Mensah Biney, expressed confidence in the preparedness of the candidates and the smooth conduct of the exams.

The visit formed part of efforts by the Assembly and the Education directorate to ensure a peaceful and successful examination period for all candidates in the municipality.
