In the previous year the department collected and collated data from several departments such as the Fire Service, Prisons Service, Drivers Vehicle and Licensing Authority (D.V.L.A), Motor Traffic and Transport Directorate (M.T.T.D), Minerals Commission, Social Welfare Department, National Disaster & Management Organization (NADMO), Birth & Death amongst others.
ANALYSIS OF THE MTTD DATA
There was a high number of accident cases in the 3rd quarter of 2024 with about 60 cases [17 fatal cases, 31 serious and 12 minor cases] compared to that of 2023 where the accident cases were 30 [ 7 fatal, 11 serious and 12 minor cases]
NADMO
The data analysed at the end of the 3rd quarter of 2024 indicated that there was a total number of 2 fire outbreaks. This is relatively low compared to 2023 where 4 fire outbreak cases were recorded. There were also seven (7) rainstorms at Nsuaem M/A, Nsuaem-Attakrom, Nsuaem Methodist School, Dompim, Dompim SDA primary school, Dadwen, Benso-Newsite. Again, there was a collapse wall at Senyakrom in the 3rd quarter of 2024 whilst none was recorded for the year 2023.
Integrated Business Establishment Survey was conducted in 2024 of which the department was charged with the responsibility of coordinating the survey. The exercise was to generate a business register for the country and provide statistics on the structure and characteristics of business activities in the country.
