TARKWA NSUAEM MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY ENGAGES GARAGES ASSOCIATION AHEAD OF BOGOSO JUNCTION DECONGESTION EXERCISE

On December 11th, 2025, the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipal Assembly held a strategic meeting with the leadership of the Garages Association at Bogoso Junction in preparation for the upcoming decongestion exercise scheduled for Wednesday, December 17th, 2025. The engagement was led by the Municipal Security Officer, Chief Sanda Umaru, Municipal PRO, Prince Kwaw Gyimah, and other security officials, following the successful decongestion carried out at the Tarkwa Main Station.

During the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Garages Association, Joans Koomson, commended the Assembly for the initiative and pledged the Association’s full support. He acknowledged that illegal parking, roadside stoppages, and trading on pavements have persisted for years, contributing to multiple accidents at Bogoso Junction. The leadership promised to sensitize their members ahead of the exercise and suggested extending operations into the evening to ensure maximum effectiveness.

The Welder Chairman, Nana Dadah, further assured the Assembly that towing vehicles would be released to help remove abandoned cars obstructing public spaces.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Ebenezer Cobbinah, and the Member of Parliament, Hon. Issah Salifu Taylor, reaffirmed their commitment to creating a safer, cleaner, and more accessible environment within the municipality, emphasizing the protection of pedestrian walkways and improved traffic flow.

The meeting was attended by key representatives of the Garages Association, including Nana Dadah, Joans Koomson, Nana Kofi Mensah, Budo City, Mr. Obour, Isaac Nimako, Benjamin Foguoh, Nana Essuah, Kofi Koranteng, and Boakye Yedom.

The collaboration marks a united effort toward restoring order and ensuring a safer, more organized Bogoso Junction.
