SPECIAL ASSEMBLY MEETING HELD TO STRENGTHEN LOCAL GOVERNANCE AND DEVELOPMENT

The Assembly convened a special meeting on Thursday, 22nd May 2025, at the Assembly Hall in Ahwetieso. The primary agenda was the formation and election of Sub-Committee Convenors, the Executive Committee, and the Public Relations and Complaints Committee. 

In his remarks, the MCE, Hon. Ebenezer Cobbinah, outlined key developmental priorities for the Municipality. He emphasized the urgent need to enhance sanitation, calling on stakeholders to promote cleanliness and adopt responsible waste management practices. On healthcare, he expressed concern over the condition of local facilities and urged for improved service delivery, underscored by professionalism and compassion. 

The MCE also expressed concerns about the state of infrastructure development in the Municipality, including ongoing road rehabilitation projects and plans to install streetlights in selected areas to boost security and improve nighttime visibility. 

The Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to tackling developmental challenges and enhancing the well-being of all residents.
