Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipal Assembly Empowers Persons with Disabilities
The Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipal Assembly has taken a big step toward inclusive development.
Hon. Ebenezer Cobbinah, the MCE, emphasized that “persons with disabilities are defined by their ability, resilience, and determination, not limitations.
The assembly distributed livelihood tools—fufu pounding machines, corn mills, hair dryers—and provided, 15 beneficiaries with prosthetic limbs, boosting mobility and hope.
This initiative underscores the Assembly’s commitment to social equity, capacity building, and awareness, coinciding with the International Day of the Deaf and Blind. Hon. Ebenezer Cobbinah urged recipients to leverage these tools for economic growth and called for collaboration with traditional leaders, CSOs, and partners.
