TARKWA-NSUAEM MCE CELEBRATES NATIONAL CHOCOLATE DAY WITH METHODIST BASIC SCHOOL

Hon. Benjamin Kessie, Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal Chief Executive on Monday 14th February 2022 joined the students and teachers of Tarkwa Methodist Basic School to mark the National Chocolate Day which is popularly known as Valentine’s Day.

The MCE shared chocolates which has health benefits to the lower basic school and their teachers.

Hon. Kessie urged the teachers to use this day to explain well to pupils and student across the various institutions in the municipality, especially upper primary and JHS, the true meaning of Valentine’s Day to avoid unexpected occurrence.

“I decided to use here as a contact point to spread the message across the Municipality”. I will use the opportunity to ask the head teachers to use at least 20 minutes to educate the children on the kind of love we are talking about, not the one that is out there”.

“Let them know that it is a day to show/express love to one another but not a day for social vices”.

“I believe with that, the purpose of Chocolate Day will be well understood”.

Mrs. Evelyn Imbeah Badu, Headmistress of the Basic ‘B’ school expressed gratitude on behalf of the teachers and pupils, and asked for God’s blessings for the MCE.
